Webs(misc.)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

There's an abundance of webs everywhere this year. The kind you walk through and they stick on you arms an don't want to rub off. oooh! Some of them are just one strand and others are quite creative. They're shiny and very strong. Can anybody tell me about them? Thanks

I have that problem also. I get up in the morning and there are new webs to walk into in the kitchen or living room. My own theory is that the spiders are moving inside because the weather is getting colder. The colder the winter is going to be, the more webs there are in autumn is my guess.

I think we are in for a bad winter.

We have them everywhere outside here, just in the last couple weeks. My friend said that the spider 'throws' its eggs, hooked to the string. But he didn't know the name of the spider. That is how they are hooked on two things way far apart. Wierd huh. Kinda like the spiders are flyin kites.
