New ACL P2K GP-7?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

The Central Hobbies (of Canada) website had an announcement of a new ACL P2K GP-7 except that it listed AGL instead of ACL. I emailed to question AGL (don't know an AGL) and they said it was probabley supposed to be ACL and changed it on their site to ACL. Anyone know if it is really ACL? Expected release is March '01. --Jim Smith

No news so far on doing the units in black and yellow. If memory serves these were going to be phase I units. I'm not sure of the Mars lights, but I am sure there will be no dynamic brakes. Proto also plans on doing an ACL steamer(two #'s). As usual these will be very limited, so get your name in the pot early. E. Howard

Any chance we'll see them with Mars lights sans dynamic brakes?

Jim, I had lunch with the Proto designers last week and the ACL P2K GP-7's (purple & silver) are a GO! E. Howard
