Pre-exposure of B&W and color 4x5 film

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

Does anyone know of any good websites that go into detail on how to pre-expose black and white and color film ?

Thanks

I'd suggest that you consider buying a Wallace Photo/Expo Disc from George Wallace (gwallace@expodisc.com). You keep it in your filter wallet until you need it in the field. It is a diffuser which you snap on the front of your lens after you have taken an exposure reading through it with you light meter-which gives you a reading for zone V. Then set your shutter/diafragm for a zone II exposure and shoot with the diffuser in place on your lens. Now you have a pre- exposed film in your filmholder.

They come in different sizes corresponding to the filter size. See A.Adams as suggested previously.
