Pinhole

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

Hi, Looking up PINHOLE in your search engine, the only responses deal with light leaks and/or faulty bellows. I realize this may be somewhat of a niche interest, but are there any folks here who do pinhole photography with thir large format cameras like I do? Personally, I feel PINHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY is more than the "poor sister" of lf photography.

You could try the following links for starters but also try a Google search (www.google.com). Type 'pinhole camera' into the search box and you will get many sources of information.

Hi Erich, Yes I did some a couple of years back mainly using Polaroids. The camera I was using was a Horseman VH (6x9cm.). I stuck an old 35mm cameras titanium shutter blade which was pierced with the pinhole to a spare lens panel. The results were ok but I never produced any worthwhile negs. But I will have to startup again using 4x5 sheet film and Polaroid 55 P/N. I do like the effects of Pinhole Photography. I saw a TV prog. some years back of this guy using 4x5 colour in Venice, the images were quite enchanting.

I feel I almost get the pinhole effect when using the 47mm Super Angulon with its light fall off and even more so with the 35mm Apo- Grandagon. Regards,

P.S. I should have stuck with the pinhole and saved myself a whole heap of money.

Greetings,

While "pinhole" may only elicit a few sites from a WEB search engine, "pinhole+photography" will reveal many more. Good luck!

Regards,
