Business Travel - Advice?greenspun.com : LUSENET : What keeps you up at night? : One Thread |
I've been solo for about a year now (IT contracting), but all my contracts have been local. Now I think I'm going to take a contract which will involve travel (I'm in Boston, contract is in New York City). Since I've never done business travel before, does anyone have any advice, recommended books/other reading, etc.? I'm a big believer in leveraging other people's knowledge and not learning things the hard way if you don't have to!Thanks.

This is a question that I think a lot of fastcompany readers are equipped to answer, so I am going to wait for their responses, in the meantime you can frequent these two sites:http://www.fastcompany.com/online/03/opener.html

And I will look forward to seeing fellow readers helping Anthony out with their travel tips.

I have spend 20 years in the travel industry, and am now advising a community of travel agents how to integrate web technology in day to day operations. I also act as a trend watcher, so have a pretty good view of what's happening, what will work, what doesn't etc. Any question may have, just let me know. I am on-line 12 hours a day, and I am sure my international travel professional friends will be able to get anyone started. http: www.travelcompass.net/newindex.html (preview page).Cheers Ben Koot COF Amsterdam
