Georgia: Child welfare computer plan may face crash

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) : One Thread

Georgia's troubled child welfare computer system
has run into more trouble.

. . .

FACETS is Georgia's response to a federal
requirement that all states develop a computerized
child welfare information system. In addition to
tracking child abuse cases, the system will enable
state workers to have access to information about
foster care, adoptions and other services families
with children are receiving, such as Medicaid or
welfare.
