Tree Save Areas in Kentlands

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Kentlands : One Thread

Have you seen the changed appearance of the tree save area in the 200 block of Chestertown Street? The area is known as Dogwood Close Park. There are new fall blooming camellias in pink and white and spring flowering trees. The camellias were obtained through the efforts of Ann Tognetti and the Kentlands Garden Club. Three of the neighbors went shopping for trees and plants with a grant from the Environmental Committee. Many of the neighbors bordering the park showed up to do an afternoon's planting in mid October. And it's not finished yet. Since many pedestrians cross through the area, there are plans for walkways in addition. Go by to check it out.
