He is playing a character on an upcoming episode of ER. I can't remember exactly which one, I think it's "Rescue Me".

He wasn't playing the father of Deb's baby. He was playing a patient.

He plays Carter's patient in "Rescue Me", apparently not a recurring role.

Thanks guys! That explains why I couldn't place him. When does "Rescue Me" air? Looking forward to seeing it. What a tragedy this accident was. I wonder if they will mention "In memory of..." at the beginning or end of this epi.

It airs on Thanksgiving which is Nov. 23rd. I hope they do in memory of for him.

He shouldn't have been playing with *any* sort of gun. Not to belittle his life or his family but you NEVER EVER play, toy, or joke around with anything even SHAPED like a gun. Not even if it's orange and has TOY printed across the side. Gun are not toys, they are not props, they are weapons build to kill people. That is why it was totally irresponsible for a grown man to be using one-even if it was a toy- to complete his costume. And you DO NOT EVER aim a gun at ANYTHING you are not prepared to take responsiblity for killing. This casual attitude, it was a party, he was just playing, is the reason that there are so many shooting deaths. His last thought was probably 'what the hell just happened?' I know I'm going to catch a lot of flack for posting this, I don't mean to belittle his life, but it was completely irresponsible for a grown man to be treating a gun-even a realistic toy-as a prop.

I'm not into guns either, Nemo, but this was a case of error after error causing a tragedy. I haven't read reports lately on the circumstances but he was dressed up at a swanky Halloween party and my guess is he thought the real officers were other guests at the party. Add the possibility of drinking on top of that and... It's just all so sad.
