Mark and hockey?

Is it just a figment of my imagination or did we not once see Mark LEARNING to skate with Susan and Rachel?? I seem to remember Rachel telling him not to stick out his butt so far. He sure has come a long way since then.

It is not your imagination. Mark couldn't skate and so I wonder what was going on with TPTB when they wrote that storyline. Because in that episode where he went ice skating with Rachel and Susan there was no way he played on a varsity team in college. Unless it was field hockey. lol

bad, bad, bad...that's all I can say. How can we all remember this and TPTB can't. You would think Anthony Edwards would at least remember that! Oh well!

Mark knew how to skate, Rachel was learning. He was trying to get Rachel in a better mood, teasing her. That is the way I remember it .

In the summaries and reviews, it didn't mention him skating clumsily or "learning" to skate...Eh.

Mark was definetly *learning* to skate. I remember both Rachel and Susan making fun of him, but I guess I could check to make sure. Anyways, I thought it was great to see both of them out there...some out of work scenes. Lets get Carter in there now.

Which episode is the one in question?

Mark couldn't skate with Rachel; Susan was a much better skater than him in that scene. I also think he looked ridiculous on the ice last night. He was lucky Elizabeth couldn't make it to the rink or the engagement might be off. Maybe Susan was the one who was on the hockey team in college.

Maybe he was in the computer hockey team...=) TPTB made a huge mistake, I remember that in Fathers and Sons, both Mark and Ross mentioned that they had been into basketball during high school (not together) and Mark acknowledged that he wasnt very good. I remember Rachel saying that he didnt know how to skate and he answered "you will teach me then". I wouldnt blame it on the actors, they must spend a lot of time memorizing a lot of lines for each epi and there are the changes, Alex Kingston said once that she had developed a good short term memory, but keeping track of every detail of your character must be difficult. But they must have somebody in charge of continuity (sp?) and they failed. Maybe they should hire somebody from here, uh?...keep dreaming...=)

Jules, your comment made me smile. I'm creating a game (a very small, simple one) as a project for a class I'm in. I'm doing ER trivia. It consists of questions (One of them's about "Battleflag" :)) and at the end, it tallys up points. A high score says "you should send your resume to WB for a job with the continuity police!"

Slightly off-topic, but I thought you'd get a kick out of it.

Hey Trelles, when your game is ready I want to give it a try...is it a computer or a board game? Can I use a green(e) token? ;)

I don't remember the name of the episode but Mark can skate because him and Susan were skating at night and he falls and jokes around saying something like "Is there a doctor here? I need a doctor"

Yes, but he is a lousy skater, his own daughter told him that (ok, I dont remember it exactly so it might sound worse) he moved too much his ass or put it out too much. I didnt considered that he could be joking.
