Heck, I've even heard about the Ohio Supreme Court race. And I don't live in Ohio. NPR has had two stories on it, this past week, that I've heard.

As for the big presidential race...I was raised a Republican. I bit my lip four years ago and voted for Dole. Midwestern farmers have always been a conservative lot.

Don't tell my parents, but I'm leaning liberal, these days. Just somewhat, and mostly on social issues. I like Bush's privatiziation plan for Social Security, for example, but I tremble most mightily at what his appointees might do to the Supreme Court.'s stance on social issues such as abortion (yeah, the A word), and gay rights (it's coming to the Supreme Court. Soon, in my opinion). At the same time, I fear what Gore might do in regards to environmental laws, which can have a huge impact on the ag industry. For the same reason, I cannnot in good conscience support Ralph Nader, as the Green Party's platorm scares the crap out of me. Buchanan is right out. Hagelin is weird. Harry Browne I don't think is worth the vote.

So, yeah. I guess for this round of the faliure of American politics, can I vote for 'none of the above'? Well, okay. If you insist. Gore it is.
