INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- A TWA jetliner made an emergency landing here Tuesday after a faulty warning light indicated a possible fire in the plane's cargo hold.

The MD-80 was flying from Baltimore to St. Louis when the pilots asked to land at Indianapolis International Airport. A cockpit indicator showed rising temperatures in a cargo compartment.

The plane landed safely shortly before 10 p.m., and mechanics found no fire in the hold. Passengers were not evacuated, and the flight continued to St. Louis, airport spokesman Dennis Rosebrough said.

There were no injuries.
