Binding past issues of Countryside (or any other magazine) misc.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Over the years, I have accumulated numerous magazines for reference and I like to bind them in book form. The technique I use is to cut a cardboard spine 11 inches long and wide enough for 1 years worth of magazines. Then using heavy fishing line, I open each magazine to the center where the staples are and secure it to the spine the way magazines are in doctors offices and libraries. After its all done, you can make a cover out of cardboard to cover the spine and fishing line.

I get a large binder 3 inch I think and put in the plastic sleeves with the opening on the top and slide in the magazines .Then I can take one out at a time to read without a fuss.

Thats my method too Patty. Costs more but is fast and easy (I'm lazy). Jay if I could have thought of your method myself I would have used it. it sounds great!!! Cheap and easy! My favorite!
