PhotoPoint Site for SAL Historians

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

All, I've built an Internet site at PhotoPoint and included many scans of SAL documents, timetables, etc. for your railroad research projects. It's not anywhere near done, but I think you may enjoy some of the vintage documents there. Here's the link: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=1187026. Let me know what you think, and how I can make the site better. Leave a message in the Guestbook, or e-mail me direct at Golden1014@yahoo.com or Golden14@gateway.net. Hope you enjoy it!

Gentlemen, my PhotoPoint site has been changed to reflect a new e- mail/internet account. Here's the new link: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=1187026 I've put over 500 railroad photos and documents on the site, mostly SAL and ACL-oriented, with more to come next year. I hope the album helps your research, and I'd be happy to hear how you think I could make it better.

I REALLY liked it. I would like to see more of this type of thing. I tell you what, there are a lot of railfan Q & A sites in cyberland, but the quality and input associated with the ACL SAL site tops them all. This is a wonderful site; always providing a wonderful forum for sharing info...good work, John. Do you by chance have some copies of the ACL Northern (and later I believe it was called Richond Div) Division employee's timetables that you could share? I would like to be able to see some of the branch line info of eastern NC..all of them if possible, including the W & W...thanks, Raymond
