Ansco 130

Hello!

This weekend I tried the old Ansco 130 paper developer I bought from www.photoformulary.com . Gee! The result was stunning glowing photographs! I have used Dektol and a PQ developer before, but NEVER got a result this good! Highly recommended!

By the way, if someone who reads this use this developer; how do you use it? Straight or diluted 1+1 or more?

Ansco 130 is an extraordinary developer that has been my favorite for years. I use it diluted 1:1. I am also fond of Adams' variant of it, which leaves out the hydroquinone and reduces the sulfite. Ansco 130 has a long shelf life and retains its working strength longer than any other developer I know, which easily makes up for the extra cost of the glycin.
