Any great recipes for a juicer?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I have just acquired a Juiceman II juicer and am ready to get started. I have the recipe book that came with the juicer but rather than try them all to see what is good, I thought I would check with you guys to see if you have some favorite concoctions you could recommend. I am particularly interested in good vegetable mixes but will be happy to hear about the fruit ones as well. Thanks.

Colleen, I have a Champion, and I love it. I had an Omega before,I like this one better. I like straight carrot and apple/carrot the best. I've never been fond of straight green juices. Carrot with beet is good, and I sometimes put a small piece of cabbage or bell pepper in. A clove of garlic is good if I feel a cold coming on, in any veg. combo, and ginger can be nice in fruit or veg. combos. I once tried fresh dandelion greens added to carrot-yuck, never again! I made my tomato sauce through my juicer this year (Thanks, Soni!) and froze apple juice, it's just like cider. Have fun with it.

I forgot to mention that I "acquired" my juicer at an auction for $17. Have wanted one for a long time but didn't want to pay the price for a new one. Just thought I would mention that deal I got.

I have a Champion juicer, too. Try adding pineapple juice to the green drink. If you do proper food combining the pineapple won't interfere. Fresh organic carrot juice. Ahh, nothing like it :~)

Try adding a little fresh parsley to you juice. Good for you and will cut down on any of those tastier juices.
