Check out Vanilla's Jars and Mixes (just do a search, I don't know address). I found another great site just now, recipes and mixes, definitely worth a peek. http://www.melborponsti.com/speirs/mastermx/index.htm Happy Cooking!

Teri, I found this in a Hershey's ad in Better Homes and Gardens. Brownies in a Jar 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/3 cup cocoa, 1 cup peanut butter chips or white chocolate chips, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips.

Layer the ingredients in a 1-quart glass conister or jar in the order given. (the sugar will be on the bottom of jar and so on up. Tap jar gently on the counter to settle each layer befor adding the next one. Cover jar and attach baking direcitions to jar. Baking directions- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Combine 1/2 cup melted and cooled butter and 2 slightly beaten eggs in a large bowl. Gently stir in jar contents. Spread in prepared pan. Bake for 35 minutes, cool in pan. Cut into bars. Makes 16.

Hope this helps! I have never tried it, but it sounds good and should be far less than $12.00!! I think a little vanilla at mixing up time would be good, but I like vanilla in everything. Mona Lea

Last year I wanted the same type recipes and just typed in cookie in a jar recipes into my search engine--I printed off 23+ pages of them. There were brownies, even a creamsicle flavor-try it! There are several websites.

Sandy, the Holiday Organizer site is great!! Tons of ideas!! I love the idea of layered cookies in a jar, but the layered soup in a jar would really make a wonderful combination. I'd bet most of us have all the ingredients for some of these soups on hand.....quick gift, with a scrap of holiday fabric and ribbon on top!! Thanks!!
