Konica lens needs repaired, who do I send it to.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread

My daughter was taking a picture of a cat using a used Konica 135mm f3.2 lens that I gave her last Christmas, when the lens just fell apart. Must have been an ugly cat! She tells me that she heard a spring let loose and then the lens fell into three parts. The glass is still in tack. The three parts have LOTS of grease covered threads that seem not to fit together I see that I can pick up these lens up for around $49. I wonder if it is worth sending this one for repair? Who would I send it to?

Lens Repair

Dave, Normally, I would recommend Mr. Greg Weber, however, in this case, it may not pay you to have it fixed. On the other hand, it can't hurt to ask for an estimate. You may be surprised.
