I'm posting this for Sue. It's a picture of Denise Poirer (the voice of Aeon Flux herself)

Wow! Thankyou very much, Chaos. Today I awoke to find Denise Poirier personally e-mailed me, (evidently after reading the remark I made under John Lee hoping to see another photo of her, as there seems to be only one) and sent me her photo, with permission to post it to the forum, to quote, "I happened upon this site when I was trying to find out what some of my own voice credits were. Crazy as it sounds sometimes when I do the anime stuff I don't write down the character name when I'm in the dubbing session, and then I go scrambling about when I need the info. Anyway, Aeon was incredible to work on. Don't think I'll have the pleasure of working on such a remarkable ( to say the least) character and series again. If you want to post this photo, please feel free it's my regular headshot, nothing fancy". Unfortunately, I didn't know how to post it, so I mailed it to Chaos and asked for his help. Understandably, she doesn't want her e mail address out there for all types of weirdo's, (women do have problems with this you know). Well, I certainly nominate her for the choice of playing Aeon Flux in the movie, because line for line, that's the face. Gorgeous. What strength of character, too. Just like Aeon herself.

Weirdo I resemble that remark. She is quite pretty and just the other day I was wondering if had ever seen either of the two(Lee) as themselves. I decided I haden't and now I have.

Gosh Denise is so lovely! i do think that she resembles aeon. ther jaw structure her eyes her lips! she's the spitting image of aeon. and she does seem to have Strength of character as you put it barb! she's just beautiful! Wow Denise. wish i know more about her. There doesn't seem to be much information about her online. Gosh now i know what "aeon" looks like. this is the woman who brought aeon to life! Sure peter the genius created aeon but denise gave aeon her voice, her character. i love her. Man Barb you must thank Denise again and again and again for her picture it's lovely. i printed it out and hung it on my wall! lol she is inspiration. Thanks for posting it Chaos. :o) Perhaps we can convince Denise to talk more about herself and aeon.

Great idea Lady Morgan,... For you Denise: you are really special to us here,we welcome any appearance on this forum. We all would love to hear anything about your experiences in making Aeon Flux, I have to say I wasn't prepared for the totally charismatic appearance you present. You seem to be everything Aeon herself was. You evidently were, as Peter once said here, once they saw you they stopped the search for the voice of Aeon.

i agree, it is great to see the voice behind aeon!!! ohh am i mistaken or was she in a seinfeld episode?? i think the title of the episode was "The Race" maybe my minds playing tricks on me again, o well nice to have this little info anyways

You know I think your quite right about the eyes. Maybe its just the eye brows, or one of those things that our brains do because we're feeble minded. Are we so arrogant that we can't free this gentle soul from the role we first came to know her? The same goes for Bob Denver.

Oh, by the way, Denise is going to use my Email address, for privacy's sake, but it's her, I am serious, that is Denise Poirier, Aeon Flux, and you'll just have to trust me on that one, I guess. Besides, I'm sure you'll see the difference. Now if you'll excuse me I think I'll check and make sure this is not a lucid dream!!!

-- Barb e. (Suesuesbeo@aol.com), November 24, 2000.

And will you be checking with your Nova Dreamer?

Heh, had to say that... actually I'm warming up to the idea. "some call it a waking dream..."

Oh, it must be snowing! Cuz I can see the tracks. Yes, it's fun to lucid dream.

I've got to read some of Pinter, Shephard, Beckett, not familiar with their work, but am with their names. Sounds like real theatre to me. I am ashamed to say it but yes, European female actors seem to have it all over America's. Can't ever forget Scarlet O'hara s line, 'Why do I have to keep pretending and pretending?' Thought maybe I'd put this here so we could see her picture without hunting for it.

Where did this picture go? it's been gone for at least a week, kept waiting for it to come back..

It's gone because DS is down until the new site is ready.
