greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I live in Wyoming & need to know if it is possible to witch for water when there is snow on the ground & when the ground is frozen?

Thanks, Ruth

since snow is just water, pointing it down anywhere should work :)

My great grandmother could. If the witch is genuine, it shouldn't be a problem.

If a witch can demonstrate his abilities, he can be rewarded one million dollars. So far it hasn't happened. It's bull. Don't waste your money.

A better bet for deciding where to drill is an experienced well driller, and/or a geologist who is experienced in groundwater and geomorphology.

Here's a url for the site which will award the TRUE witch of your choice a million bucks. It's interesting even if you aren't looking for a quick fortune.

Jumpoffjoe:

I was skeptical also but... When I was having my pond due out the contractor mentioned he could witch for water. I asked him to do it. He cut a fork out of a willow tree and started walking. At one point the tip bent over with such force one of the handles broke between the tip and his hand. I was watching and absolutely no way he would have broken it himself. He was exactly over where a small stream was later found to go through the pond area.

Hey Joe! Silly boy, anyone can witch for water; its no big deal. Ive done it a million times, and have taught lots of skeptics in a half an hour.

Hey Joe, I went to the skeptic site you listed, but couldn't discover where this million dollar offer is located. Can you give me a few more clues, like what do I click on to find it? Maybe it was front page when you were there and now they've moved it?
