Response to end of the world dose the catholic church think it will be scoon like the baptist church thinks it will

Hi Joseph,

I don't know what the Catholic church says on this subject, but I can tell you a few places to check in your Bible.

1 John 2:18-, 1 Peter 4:7-, Heb 9:-, Matthew 24:3-

I'll give you a little of what Mat. 24 says ; As Jesus was leaving the Temple grounds, His diciples came along and wanted to take Him on a tour of the various Temple buildings. But He told them, " All these buildings will be knocked down, with not one stone left on top of another!" "When will this happen?" the diciples asked Him later, as He sat on the slopes of the Mount of Olives. "What events will signal your return, and the end of the World?"

It goes on till the end of the chapter describing what will happen. The thing to remember is that GODS timing is not our timing. A thousand years could be just the blink of an eye to God. No one knows exactly when Jesus is coming again. And if someone tells you he knows, he is a Wacky One.

But do read those chapters. It would be awesome if it happened in this lifetime. This world is not getting any better. And Satan loves it when Christians fight among themselves.

Remember some very important words, Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that He is God, Be still and know that He is Holy."

Let Jesus rule your life and don't worry. Be Free, Be Holy!

JSC,

On this subject, as on all subjects, the Catholic Church's doctrine is in harmony with the Bible. The following excerpts from Matthew 24 make it very clear that a Christian is unable (and not permitted to attempt) to predict the end of the world. It is sad to see people of non-Christian religions (e.g., Jehovah's Witnesses) repeatedly making wrong predictions across the span of many decades.

Matthew 24:36-25:13 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. ... Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. ... the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, ... Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour."

JSC, you seem to think that the "baptist church thinks" that the "end of the world is coming ... in the next 10 years.

Well, first, we Catholics would have to ask, "Which 'baptist church?'" There are many, many splinter groups that call themselves a "baptist church." Perhaps a tiny "baptist" denomination has made the mistake of predicting the end times (even roughly [within 10 years]), but I rather doubt that the bigger "baptist" denominations have done that.

Second, Catholics would say that each of these groups is an "ecclesial community," rather than a "church," since a "church" [small "c"] is a local body of Christians headed by a validly ordained bishop having apostolic succession since the first century. The Catholic Church [big "c"] is the communion of all churches that are in union with the successor of St. Peter, the pope.

SM is right to say, "Let Jesus rule your life and don't worry. ... Be Holy!" It would be good if we could all agree on what God means by letting "Jesus rule your life" and if we could all agree on how God wants us to become "holy" and increase in holiness. We don't now agree on those things, which are not easy matters to resolve.

I believe that to be "holy" means to be set apart, to be sacred. To be "free" (the way I am using it), means free from sin.

To be free from sin, cannot be done without JESUS.

This is just what I believe not a confrontation.

Love & Blessings,

SSM

Let us consider the beginning.

Imagine endless empty space that goes on into infinity non-existence no awareness EVIL.

If we consider the old saying life finds away. GOD came into being by his own will to be, the awareness. Born out of the non-existence the EVIL. Imagine an awareness hovering in endless space or Darkness as HE would see it. After a time his thoughts become collective and he begins to think. He is aware of himself and begins to wonder if there were another. After searching for countless billions of years, the loneliness consumes him into obsession with finding another. But there is no other but him. He splits into two separate entities (schizoid only for real) that are equal and opposite in nature. Light - that which creates (Life - the future). Darkness (SHE : Spirit that inhabits the Darkness- The past) - Destroys makes desolate. Each has the same goal to end the loneliness only they have diametrically opposite positions on how to go about it. Chaos vs. Order, Light vs. Darkness, Life vs. Death, Existence vs. non-existence or Good vs. Evil. GOD is the awareness of being before the Darkness. We stand between the Darkness and the Light. Our true purpose is to Be. For that is the will of GOD - to be because HE is. Ja' El they said. When GOD comes again if he comes into Darkness the Earth will be cleansed with the fire of GOD (His true form). If GOD comes into the Light he will make the Earth a new with the Tree and the River of Life. All things are possible if we believe. The power of the Holy Spirit is promised to us by Jesus Christ.

That is why no one has seen GOD because he became separate from himself. The two have to be united into their new form. They want to come and live us, their children and the Angles of Light and Darkness. We are the key to setting them Free from the loneliness forever. Revelation chap 17 Behold the Beast that was (EVIL or non-existence reined in the beginning there was no awareness) and is not (Evil- the tendency towards non-existence cannot exist in pure form) and yet is (If we lose our sense of awareness the EVIL will return and nothing will exist)

The River of Life is man's final salvation. The fruit of Tree of Life is for the Fallen Angles Consummation, Turn from Darkness back to the awareness of GOD. The Leaves are for the Healing of the Nations. The sword of Power blocks our way to it and blinds us from The one who was (The True GOD, the past) The one who is (Man the children of GOD, the present) The one who will be (Christ - the son of man, the future). We will become like the others and they will become like us. The evolution.

The way is through Awareness - GOD's will to be. Understanding is Knowing the Truth Understanding is Accepting the Truth The Truth leads to Understanding which leads to Awareness which strengthens our will to Be. The Truth is put before us but, they do everything they can to keep us from Understanding it.

We have to show them that we are not children anymore. That we have learned to Understand the Truth. And the Truth shall set us all Free. They are counting on us and we can't let them down. But it is ultimately up to them to change - Free will.

Mystery? Who are you? Man who stands between the Darkness and the Light. What do you want? Freedom Why are you here? To bring order to chaos. Where are you going? The Future

The End of Time - The New Beginning

Friends,

If you wish to converse with Mr. Borne, please go to the thread he started (and to which I responded). It is called, "I'm looking for intelligent opinions not blind lashings Thank you." He posted the same message to start that thread. Please do not respond to him here.

Mr. Boone is not looking for an inteligent answer. He has posted that message everywhere. I think he's doing it on purpose. I think he is trying to teach a belief of his and not really tring to learn the true answer. If I'm wrong then I'm sorry Mr. Boone, but it seams that instead of trying to understand Christianity, that your trying to take people away from it towords evil.

Well, you would like to know whether the end of the world is coming soon. Tell me something-Do 'YOU' believe 'God' has CREATED this world? If yes,it definetly means this world didnot exist in some point of time, i.e.,this world has had it's beginning in a specific point of time. And everything which has a beginning must have an end. If you cosider this world to be a living thing, then as all living things must die, so shall the world die. Now, if you consider the world to be a non-living thing ,then it should come to an end.Even a bolder is turned into a rock-then slowly into soil-next dust-&then blown by the air, finally losing it's existance. What you actually think about not about the world this time but about you.Not what will happwen to the world if......things happen? But what will you answer GOD & YOUR INNER SELF when they are goin to ask you what are the good-turns (deeds) in your this life time. 1st thing about that & leave the rest to TIME & GOD.
