I have to turn in a thesis statement tomorrow about Poe relating something about his works to him. It can't be that his works are Gothic because the teacher told us we couldnt use that one. But I need to know if there are any ideas anybody has on what would be a good thesis statement for Poe and his short stories. I need the answer soon.

How about doing something with the irony that he uses in his stories. That is what I am trying to find info on, so maybe if you find anything, and what ever i find, we can share.
