She has shown Godliness in Music. Others have shown music and its intricacies. This is one of the Margas for Mukthi. This was practised and atacined by none other than Saint Thyagaraja. Hers is a thapas and may her work continue and be talked about as long as humanity exists on this planet. May God bless her. Sai Ram.

it was on a clear sky day that her performance was organised at the hanuman temple at nanganallur, chennai, India. The entire area was packed with people. an hour after she began, she took up Thodi. Completing aalapana, she began, Thanjamendru vandadainden.. anjaniyin thirumagane... the sky came down pouring. it poured for nearly 30-35 minutes. None of the audience could be disturbed by the rain. we all stood drenched.do u have a recording of this concert any where?

I agree with Haripriya. MS's recording at Carnegie hall with 'O Rangasayee', 'Muruga Muruga' and 'Narayana' are great! The casette is readily available in many music shops.

Pls buy it and enjoy.

the collection of three volumes titled nadha sudha rasa makes the best among the best of her collections. it includes melting songs like ninnuvina, nagumomu bhajore bhayya.etc

The "Okapari Kokapari" and ofcourse "Bhaja Govindam" are the ones I listen to the most. Carnegie Hall concert is also good and worth being in your collection.

every song is top class in any forum she sang.

In any case AIR Chennai have huge collections of her renderings on AIR over those fantastic years and I hope HMV will release all of them as a tribute to her genius and mention the period.

One song that captivated me in AIR Concert several years ago ( 8 15 to 9 30 Hrs ) Todi - Koluva Maragatha. It was sublime and never had a chance to hear it again and no repeat by AIR. HMV never released it.

Any one having a recording, may contact me on my above email id.

thanks

Well all her casettes are gems. Sree Ranga puravihara in ' Venkatesa Suprabatham is a good piece. There is a Balaji pancharathna mala which has good ones.

She is a gift given by GOD to the Music Kingdom. "Balaji Panchatantra Mala" (A set of Five Volumes) is one of her greatest Master pieces.

Sorry list, i mean the name is "Balaji pancharatnamala", it's typo. Regreat for the error.

All India Radio through HMV has released some of the finest recordings of M.S over the last 60 years from their Archives.

Sarasee Ruha Sana Priye in Nattai is absolutely fantastic. M.S. is indeed an avatar of Goddess Saraswati.

she is the finest singer i have ever heard.Balji pancharatnamala is absolutely fabulous.Ranga pura vihara is superb in fact any song sung by her is great.

MS is no doubt the best in all her songs.I would like you to listen to the mela raagamaalika chakra where she smoothly moves from one raaga to the other, she is marvellous.Even the kanchi paramacharya is supposed to have commented, that this peice would be remembered as long as the sun and the moon exist.
