where do I start???greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo: Creativity, Etc. : One Thread |
Hi I've no idea about photography and I was wondering if anyone could help me?? I'm 15, and from england and for a school art project we have to pick an artist (i chose andy warhol), and then do an advertisement in the style of that artist. I'm advertising hair, (i'm either advertising hair colours or styles) and basically I'm using one of andy warhols ideas which he used with mick jagger. His idea was that he had several different black and white pictures of him and did this technique (i don't know what) to put colour on spacific bits of the photo. - sorry i can't explain it very well. Anyway I have taken lots of different photos of people on the streets but I have a feeling they will not be very good as it is just a throw away kodac camera and I have no idea how to artistically take photos. The photos need to be close up and good. PLEASE HELP!!!any advice is welcome
thanks

Alex, scan your photos and work them in the computer with a photo editing program such as Photoshop. If you can't to that, take them to a shop that can do color Xeroxes, have them enlarged to the size you want, and the work them with color markers
If you research Andy Warhol a bit, you will realize that he did not worry about things being conventionally good.
Just go to it!
Best of luck - chris

He didn't seem to worry too much about things like copyright, or whose pictures he stole either!
