Forum post. [misc] - About my heart - Hoot

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

For those concerned about the followup post concerning my old ticker. I didn't mean to complain about my physical ailments on the forum. Quite the contrary! I'm livin on borrowed time and do not find it amusing nor proper to lie and distort the truth. When I set down in front of the puter and "talk" to anybody that cares to read what I say--to me it's like talkin to family. Isn't it supposed to be that way? If I offend anybody by my posts then I'm sorry. I was asked direct questions and answered directly! I'll not shade the truth any, just to protect somebodys opinion as to what should or should not be posted on here. If I was "over the line" postin about the heart problems then dont' read anymore of my posts. I thnk it has been adquately covered anyhow. Be good to each other--you may not have another chance to "make things right". Matt. 24:44

Hey Granpa Hoot, I care a LOT more about what has been going on with you than much of what's been going on here lately. (I'm embarressed that some of us have been acting mean and picking on each other! There's no call for it. 'Nuff said.) Anyway, hugs and kisses and feel better soon. Cathy

Hoot, There have been "odd" things going on here as of late. I appreciate all your posts. Hope you "get to borrow a little more time" too. As you said , this is family, and to many of us you are our elder. Take care.

Hoot. People were concerned and looking for you. An adaquate explanation of your health problems is not out of line.

We are ALL living on borrowed time. Each one of us has an appointment w/ death. When or how that occurs only the Lord knows. You at least know where you will spend eternity. And That is the most important thing an indivdual can know.

Over the years I've seen a lot of people die. Very few of 'em that didn't look surprised. None of us are promised tomorrow. So make the most of the days we have.

Hope your feeling better now. BTW, I checked out your web site, pretty spiffy. I'd like one of those dudes for the new place here! We are all electric. Yuck. John

Hey, Hoot. It sounds like you need less work and more fishing! Glad to have you back with us.

Your nephew did a wonderful job on the website. Now I know how those old, new-fangled gadgets work.

For all that think I'm "straight laced" and cannot tell a joke----! An old cat died and went to heaven. God met'm at the Golden Gate and welcomed'm in. Asked the old cat what he wanted more than anything else. The old cat said "Well, after a lifetime of sleepin anywhere and everywhere from on the cold wet ground to barn lofts---it sure would b enice to have a real soft pillow to rest on. God said OK! POOF! A nice soft pillow for old mr. Cat to sleep on.

About a week later 3 mice died and God met'm at the Gate. Ask'm what they wanted more than anything else. They thought a little and said "Rollerscated"! After a lifetime of runnin away from the farmers wife/ farmers cat/ farmers dog--sure would be nice to kinda "roll" around heaven. God said "OK"! POOF! New roller scates for each mouse. About another week went by and God came walkin by the old mr. Cat. Ask'm how things were. Mr cat said "Perfect"!!!! And oh! BTW God--I wanna thank You for the meals on wheels! Matt. 24:44

Grandpa Hoot, I sure enjoy listening to all your life stories. I sure don't think you complain, you are just telling it like it is! If only more people were like you. As to living on borrowed time, I think the good Lord has kept you around because you have lots to teach us "green horns". Things just wouldn't be the same on this post without you! May God continue to bless you.
