How can I help a male victim of abuse?

I don't know of anything directly, but there are people on the safe- support list who are in the same situation as you. Directions for joining are on the safe4all.org website.

Also consider reading Phil Cook's excellent book: Abused Men.

My son is being abused by his girlfriend. He lives half the continent away so I can't physically remove him from the situation. How can I find a shelter that will take him in, since most are designed for women and/or don't believe that men can be battered by women.
