Got to play with a Nikon D1 this past week. Incredible camera! My buddy carries 6-230 mb compact flash cards in his vest instead of film!

I was wondering if anyone has any idea how long until we gat a single shot digital back for 4x5 that will accept Micro Drives (1Gb) or so and be battery operated.

No more film to carry through airports, no more changing bags, no more dust. Grab a loat of compact flas cards, micro drives, etc, and you are on your way.

Affordable? Hmmm, perhaps in the $5,000 range.
