There is an article in the Journal this morning about Gallacher. He has had a calf problem for two months which has responded very slowly to treatment. He was hoping to be ready for the Xmas period games, however, he has only just started light training and will not be avilable until into the New Year, and only then if his injury doesn't show a reaction when stepping up the training.

Kevin professes to being extremely frustrated at missing the opportunity to play in his preferred position up front after playing mostly in midfield during his time at SJP - not half as frustrated as we are matey!

I would have thought that the more games he misses the less chance he has of securing another contract at 34.

Calf muscle injuries appear to have replaced hamstrings as the injury of choice at SJP!
