Sounds wonderful!

Happy New Year everyone! Maybe 2001 Konica will again make an SLR, or even K/AR mount lenses! Wouldn't that be something?

Mike.

Wish for a new line of Konica slrs

Mike, If we, Konica slr users throughout the world, want a new line of Konica slrs, then we've got to let Konica Corp. in Japan know that. Let them know that there will be thousands of us willing buyers if and when they produce a new set of slr cameras with the II bayonet mount. I've just recently done that since one of my T3's shutter started giving me problems. Here's their address:

Konica Corporation 26-2 Nishi-Shinjuku 1-chome Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 163-0512 Japan

Wishing the best to all Konica slr users!

Called Konica up today and asked...

Called Konica Canada up today and asked if they would be producing any SLRs in the future, they said probally not. BUT, I did tell them how impressed I was with the Konica SLR and the Hexanon lenses and let them know I would be interested in buying a Konica SLR if they made them again.

Great you called Konica to let them know

Mike, Good for you that you called Konica Corporation. If anything will move them, it will have to be the consumer. Of course, they wouldn't tell you if they are working on an slr. In the past I've heard it said about the company that they sure don't like to let the cat out of the bag until it's time to do so. Perhaps they are doing something in terms of a future slr line, but they certainly won't let anyone know that until they release the product. But your voice may have counted to nudge them in our mutually desired direction. I'm glad you did it. I wish you a great New 2001 Year. George Repetski
