Considering modeling the "C-Line" East of Newnan to Senoia in HO Scale or from Newnan to Griffin in N Scale, Questions about operations on this line.

I have been a resident of Newnan, GA for 14 years now and I have great curiosities about the old "C-Line" that ran from Cedertown to Griffin, notably the section of the line East of Newnan to Griffin. I know from reading other messages that the section of this track from Senoia to Griffin has been severed at both ends since the early 90's but, with so muck kudzu and trees overtaking the line, did the line experience any use by NS during the 80's and early 90's East of Senoia? If not, when was the last scheduled through freight to Griffin besides the twice weekly locals that still run to Senoia today? What kind of equipmet, e.g. diesel locomotives/cabeese did Southern use in the late 60's and 70's before the NS merger? And did the line operate timetable or radio? Just curious about this. I'm considering modeling a freelance layout based on this section of track, the scale of course deciding how long of a span I can model. I've been in the hobby now for 12 years and have both a 2'x4' N Scale and a 4'x8' HO Scale layout in progress, both modeling either CSX or NS. My C-Line layout will likely be a modular Point-to-Point layout that will run up against each wall of my future train room. Any suggestions, ideas, or info on the operations of the "C-Line" would be greatly appreciated.
