I have never worked with that group. I have been a member of MSOGBA for years and there are some great folks. I don't know if they include info on any other states. Maybe you could just write for the info? Did you want a paper copy of their (paper) newsletter? It is a small organization going through some change since the organic cert rules have been created on a national level.

I am interested in an apprenticeship either on a farm or organic related enterprises..but I come with my catahoula dogs and a catch dog puppy. I hunt wild hogs for a hobby and would like for this to be a full-time job which isn't possible in Texas because there're too many wild hogs. I have two dogs right now. Catahoulas can also be guard dogs, herding dogs, and more. Of course, I'm a bit proud of my dogs. I have been told that I should work on a farm or ranch due to my green thumb and interest in animals but couldn't do so because I don't have contacts that could lead me down to this path plus I didn't have a car until last month. I am also deaf but can speak a bit along with sign language. I am a very observant person and notice things that an average person doesn't mainly because being deaf has taught me how to handle it :) In any case, I'm wondering about mushroom gathering because we don't have many opporunities to do that in Texas. Heard it was quite a good job if you knew what you were doing. Email me only. I won't always be able to check up on this website. Thanks in advance!

p.s. farm or ranch in Texas is preferred since I do have family mostly in Texas but elsewhere will be considered....
