Hi Steve, Like yourselves, we are a small full time department. About 5 years ago we began an ice rescue program which has proven very effective and successful. I'm sure our ice rescue training officer Mark Modjeski, or myself can offer you ideas and suggestions on training and equipment. We have a number of very helpful resource guides as well. The number at the department(City Of Manistee Fire Dept. Local 645) is 231-723-1549 or you can write me at my email address.
