Man they cut the lecture parts.greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread |
The immitation good ole boy accent (which he didn't keep up) was bad enough, but its now just fabrication, and the science got dropped.TLC's phone number is 1-888-404-5969 While you are complaining about stuff, let them know us NERDS should get a rematch.

We should petition them to change the show back to its old format, have both American/Canadan and British teams and just call it one Show. The science bits were good too!

I definately second that one! ONE SHOW FOR ALL!The rest of the world complains how pushy we American's are to foreigners. Well, you put on a british show like Scrapheap Challenge (granted they changed the name to junk yard wars) and it instantaniously forms an underground following... actually not really that underground... its just that only a few people saw it and they ALL loved it!
They are messing with the magic by trying to make it Americanized... I liked the flavor!

I hadn't noticed a cutback on the graphics and lecture bits, actually (and it's only been a week since the last series). Maybe someone else can pull out a stopwatch and do the math, but to be honest, the fabrication is what's memorable. I don't even remember any of the lecture about the fireboats, but damn do I remember "We need to abbreviate this vehicle..."

I third that one!
