Ever wanted to live somewhere else?

So, have you? And I don't mean, "Yeah, I've always wanted to move to Miami. . ." I mean, have you ever, seriously pondered living in a fantasy world. This includes worlds of your own creation or worlds already created. Take a few minutes to ponder and then give it your best shot.

Oh, absolutely! I have ALWAYS wanted to live elsewhere. In fact, I've written books about this world of mine. It takes on different shapes and faces all the time, but it's always essentially the same. In my world, people aren't judged on looks or prowess or anything...they can be themselves and are loved regardless. Either that, or I am considered absolutely desirably perfect in this world. But ya know. ;) Anyhow...people live in harmony and have a wonderful, open, healthy relationship with each other. The standard rules, politics, restrictions, etc. don't apply...and everything is liberal and open and very user-friendly, so to speak. There's that perfect balance between nature and society, and everything is rich and lush and inviting...and I would live there forever where I couldn't be touched by discrimination, prejudice, or ignorance.

Well, I find that when I play involved video/computer games and read really good books, I tend to get immersed in them. But which one I'd actually want to live in's a tough question. Well, if Pokemon world didn't work out for us all, I'd strongly recommend Middle Earth, from Lord of the Rings by Tolkien. For those who don't know anything about it, it's one of those medieval worlds filled with dwarfs, elves, hobbits, orcs, trolls, other creepy monsters, men, knights, wizards, dragons, and some really bad. . .ummmm baddies. No school necessary, unless you wanted to be a wizard or knight or something else. I just think it'd be pretty damned cool. Not to mention the fact that you'd get to outsmart Sauron's evil forces, save the world, and live a simple, peaceful life with your friends and family. That world also has some pretty kickass kingdoms ruled by just leaders (something that could never be accomplished in this one). Yup, I'd be happy there, as long as everyone else gets to come. Hey, I already know a little bit of the Elvish tongue. . .I'm pathetic. . .oh well. I don't care! Muahahahaaaaaaaa!!!!! Ok, I've wasted enough space. TK out ;)
