Wow! Just got back the first batch of slides shot using a recently purchased Soligor 1.5X TC on a Hexanon 300/4.5 (the combo being approx. 450/6.3) and must say I am VERY pleased with the results.

I'm not a big fan of TCs in the 2x and 3x range, only keep several around "in case", but am usually disappointed in the results because of loss of sharpness, lower contrast, washing out of the colors, etc. Plus there's that loss of 2 or 3 stops!

Well, the Soligor 1.5X has made a fan of me so far! (I think Kiron was the only other company that ever offered a 1.5X in a K/AR mount, and wouldn't be surprised if they made this one, sold it to Soligor who relabeled under their brand.)

Alan, Add Vivitar 1.5 and Sigma 1.4 to your list. I got this info from Mc Brooms '96 price guide. I xeroxed all of the Big 4 after-market lens pages as a price/availability guide. Dave
