On Drinking Water and Working Out(Health)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Just thought I'd remind everyone how important it is to drink pure healthy water. I got a shock yesterday when I found out I'm dehydrated. Many of you know I have environmental illness, and several of you on here have it to. The symptoms are similar to fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue sydrome only with allergies.

Well that's certainly an oops. ANyway, back to my point. As far as the chemical poisoning goes, the bad toxic cells pull the water out of the good cells and casues the dehydration. I asked him why I could loose inches but not pounds, I eat very healthy and I workout 5 days a week and why I still hurt from doing my workouts since I've been doing the one for well over a year. He did an Impedence(sp)test, took less that ten minutes. Hooked up a couple electrodes, it sends a light though your body and then you get the results. Muscle/fat/water ratio. It also told him how toxic I am

So, what do I do? Yuck, dont' like to drink much of anything but now I have to drink lots and lots of pure water(we have a big Berky) and continue my workout and eating well, and take a supplement he gave me.

I though that posting this might encourage and remind those of you who have these problem to drink lots of water. It couldn't hurt.

Our bodies are made up of mostly water. Our planet is mostly water. Every living thing needs water. Water is the symbolism of motherhood, birth and rebirth. Water is for cleansing, both physical and spiritual.

Water is the most important part of detoxing our bodies. Drink plenty of it. If you can't stand to drink plain water, flavor it with herbs.

Unfortunately, water also detoxifies our planet and dumps the toxins into our drinking glass. Pure sweet water is surely a blessing.

It is recommended in everything I have ever read that people drink at least 8 big glasses of water a day.

Water

We all know that water is important, but read the following:

75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half world pop.)

In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.

One glass of water shuts down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a U-Washington study.

Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?

Cher, that's fascinating, thanks for posting it, I'm up t 5 glasses a day, which causes detoxing, which causes me to feel poisoned. So I will increase grandually, but I will make it. A chiropractic physician I went to years ago said we should drink in ounces half our weight in pounds. I hope I said that right. If you weighed 100 # then you'd drink 50 oz. of water, and that is water, herb tea is fine, lemon in the water is fine, but coffee and pop isn't.

At the end of the day, I usually feel thirsty and drink a big glass of water. Then I'm waking up threw the night to visit the bathroom, where I drink more water and the circle continues. I realized I must not be getting enough water through the day and promise myself I'll start drinking more but always forget. My son is a camel and I encourage him to drink more also. It would do us both good to detox.
