What size filter to use on caltar 150mm 6.3 lens

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

Hi again. I have the 4x5 Tachihara with the caltar 150 lens in a Copal 0 shutter. Does anyone know for sure what size filter it accepts. The lens cap has 42 on it so I was under the impression it was a 42mm filter size. But that is assuming and you know what that gets you most of the time. Thanks for your help again, Doug

You can probably get this info from the calumet website. The filter size is most likely 40.5mm, especially if the lens is a caltar IIe (i.e., a rodenstock geronar).

You were right on the money with the 40.5. Thanks
