Wool around sheeps eyes

I'd just like to know what the wool cut from around a sheep's eyes is called?

Out West we call it face-wool. And if you aren't careful it could be called eye-lashes.

I'm afraid this is another question. Does anyone know the special word for tufts of sheeps'wool caught and left behind on hedges or barbed wire?

After long reflection I think the word for the original question might be 'lock'. I don't know about the wool on fences and hedges though.
