February sweeps and Sally Field

SPOILER (maybe?) P O I L E R

According to E!online, Sally Field is supposed to be back for three episodes during February sweeps. But I thought she was supposed to return in May. Can anyone confirm which sweeps period we'll be seeing more of the Abby and Maggie show? No offense, but I don't think I'm ready for her to come back yet. And, since we know James Cromwell is going to be around for most of sweeps counseling Luka, Carter is supposed to have a fling, Mark is just out of surgery, etc., I guess this means a seriously overcrowded February sweeps, with five minutes an episode for everyone. Could Wanda have it wrong? (Oh, please!)

I think Carter's fling won't be until the end of the season. I also thought Sally Field wasn't coming back until May.

Sometimes you've got to take Wanda with a grain of salt. She's been right and she's been wrong!

Carter's love interest story arc supposedly last from eppy #15 - 19. Episode # 15 should be the last episode of November sweeps. It should end before May sweeps begin. Eppy # 19 will air sometime in April. I would not take much word in what Wanda says. When it comes to ER, she has thew tendancy to post spoilers she has found here and add her spin to them. Sally Field said in several episodes that she will return for another three episodes during May.

would that make sally field in the season finale?

I meant episode # 15 should bw the last episode of Feb sweeps. I have no idea whether Sally Field will be in the finale. It has been reported that her last three episodes will occur around/during May sweeps.

Yeah, Sally is supposed to come back during May sweeps. Although, considering how late the season started, I wouldn't be surprised if it ended maybe in early June... unless the lack of reruns fast forwards them, probably the latter is more possible. I don't think Sally will be a part of the season finale and nor do I want her to. I think that before she leaves, Abby and Maggie should resolve all of their issues together, and then we can see a "moved on" Abby trough the rest of the season. Just my two pennies.

The only way that Maggie and Abbie can "resolve all of their issues" is for one of them to die. That's a big part of the reason Maggie is so hard to take: she won't change, and talking things out does no good whatsoever; they just keep having the same conversation over again. Not that I am opposed to having Maggie die. In fact, I'm very much in favor of it, provided she doesn't kill herself and leave Abbie to wallow in guilt for the rest of the season. Maybe Luka can have Dr. Kayson take her to the cath lab on Romano's day off.
