any order to reruns?

Just wondering if NBC ever puts their ER reruns in meaningful order. So far, since I started watching, I've seen Lucy die twice, followed by some reruns where she's alive, some dead. The next rerun called for is Homecoming. Will they just keep flip-flopping back and forth like that? What about when summer reruns start?

This is just a guess, but I bet they rerun the highly rated episodes as often as they think they can get away with it. The ep where Lucy died did extremely well in the ratings, as far as I know.

Hey! Kay, after this weeks new episode, NBC will air "Homecoming" followed by "Sand and Water"; both episodes of Season 7. From what I assume, they will begin airing early episodes from Season 7 now. By the time these two eppys air, it will be February and time for sweeps. This means, we will get at least four new episodes. Then, a down time in March (probably a couple of weeks) of reruns, a few new episodes following in March and April, then it will pick back up again in May. More than likely, because of the late start, "ER" will run through till June (beginning or middle). By now, though, I assume they will opt to air reruns of Season 7.

There was a week during the holidays when the rerun on NBC and the episode on TNT were the same

Yep. How the Finch Stole Christmas was on three times in the week before christmas. NBC showed it and TBS at it during the daytime hours then again at 11pm.

It may be that I'm just a cynical old b****, but does anyone else wonder about the writers strike that may or may not happen this summer? We know that the ER writers are not producing any extra scripts in preparation for a strike. (John Wells is pres of the Guild, so this makes sense.) Do you think the network may start holding on airing new episodes to fill in the gaps? (Would anyone put it past them?) Are they allowed to do this?
