Favorite Ballheads for the Big Guns

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Birding Q&A : One Thread

I found a great ballhead that probably is unheard of in the bird photography circles. It is the Giottos MH-1001. It is a tiny head that holds up to 17.6lbs firmly (according to my tests) in all the stiffest winds. Tension adjustment is also very smooth. I shoot with a 500mm AF-S, F100, TC-14E.

Besides the Wimberly and Arca B1, what are your favorite heads?
