Help needed!!!! old feeble minded hoot- the loser of things.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I'm lookin for an item that would make me extremely happy if'n somebody has one to sell. It's an old Home Comfort wood cookstove cookbook. Don't remember the year but somewheres in the 1930's and the cover is BLACK! Lehmans doesn't have the particular one I'm lookin for. Theirs is an older edition than what I'm wanting. Spiral bound and inside the front page or two is a picture of the stove. It's big and WHITE with no warming ovens-just a backsplash and a water tank on the right side. If anybody has one of these books and would part with it I'd like to hear from ya'll. I've lost mine that was given to me by mom. Thanks. old hoot gibson-the purty Illinois hillbiilly. Matt. 24:44

Hoot:

There is one for sale on eBay. Search under Home Comfort Cookbook by title only. However, it looks like it may be the older edition.

Dear Hoot, I have a wood/coal warming stove, it ain't white, but it is a serious German Warming stove. What need do I have of it, once the alarming pre-Y2K, proved "Earthly, False Alarm?". I got that hearth warmer, along with 30 lbs of wheat, what need do I have? I will send ALL to those in need. My Story. Tell me, what you need.
