Hi. I,m a beginner and i was thinking of getting a telephoto lens for my canon. Any recommendation? Also, what can a lens with aperture f2.8 and bigger do?

What lens you use depends only on what you shoot. What do you intend to use the telephoto for?

f/2.8 and faster lenses allow you to shoot in low light.
