FT-1 AA size battery case ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread

I'm looking for an AA size battery case for my FT-1, which I bought new in 1984 (black body). I'd also really like an X-36 flash unit but have only seen X-24's for sale on e-bay. Any info ?

Thanks - ttwotees

FT-1 AA Case

You can buy a brand new one from Konica. Phone 800-285-6422. Speak to Kathy Nicki. They are $28 plus $4 shipping. Your on your own about the X-36.

Greg Weber, Konica Canada/USA & AA FT-1 Cases.

What can these items have in common:

Greg Weber, Konica Canada/USA & AA FT-1 Cases

Well, I called Konica Canada to get a replacement AA case for my FT-1, turns out Greg Weber bought ALL of them! ZERO stock left (thanks Greg..haha), so I called Konica USA and they HAVE SOME! but they WON'T ship to CANADA, told me to call Konica Canada! So now, it looks like this for Konica FT-1 Users in Canada:

Konica USA HAS AA battery backs but they WON'T sell them to Canandians!

Konica Canada HAD AA battery backs but they SOLD them ALL to an American!!

Where is the justice. :(

FT-1 Battery Holder(Power Grip)

Mike,Try cyberbooger.bigstep.com he has new in stock for $50 US s&h included. He's the same guy who's been listing them on ebay and selling them for $50 plus. Maybe you can get someone here in the states to order from Konica and they can ship it up to you. Its worth the try. Check the dealers,I just bought an "AAA" for $19.50. Another possibility is to buy a "junker" w/a good grip for $50 and dump it off on ebay for $40 plus. Luck,Dave
