CRUFTS 2001

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Shih-Tzu Talkshop : One Thread

Well, it`s that time of year again!

21,554 dogs are entered, including about 200 overseas dogs. 237 Shih-Tzus are entered, making it, numerically, the biggest entry in the Utility Group.

Any of you from overseas who would like further information on Crufts will probably find everything they want to know on the Kennel Club site at

http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/welcome.htm

I`ve had one or two people ask about how one qualifies for Crufts - all that information is available from the above site, under `exhibitor information` in the `Crufts` section.

Do we know of any overseas dogs entered in our breed?

Who enjoys Crufts? Any particularly happy memories? Pet hates? Moans? Changes you would like to see made?

Am I correct in saying that the `release` time for exhibits has been brought forward by an hour?

Anyone who would like a catalogue or a Souveneir Guide, let me know and I will post it to you.

So who is going?(:o)

Actally, I hadn`t realised that they were Crufts main sponsor.

I was disappointed to read in this week`s dog papers that progress in improving the welfare of dogs in Korea, is not as good as we are lead to believe. In fact, it sounds as though they are going backward, not forwards. A motion to legalise the practice of eating dog meat has been tabled by the Korean government. How depressing. (:o(

There is a notice posted on Sue Thatchers noticeboard about Samsung once again being at Crufts. In view of the Korean`s attitude to dogs, and as I have already posted on the subject on another thread, how do you feel about it? (:o|

Damn, I`ve done it again! If I forget to post using my other e mail address, the posting goes higher on the page (it thinks I`ve got my administrators hat on!). My postings on this page are therefore out of order. Sorry! (:o!
