Just got my Konica Hexanon 28mm f1.8 UC lens in the mail 10 minutes ago, and boy am I excited to try it out.

Here are some first inital impressions:

- It about 2-3 times heavier than my Hexanon 28mm f3.5 lens, but about as heavy as my 135mm f3.2 - The UC multicoating is Blue, Red, Green in that order in the sunlight. My 135mm f3.2 coating (for compairsion) is Clear and Purple. - Only 1/3rd of a turn to go from .6ft/.18meters to infinity. - This is the rubber ringed AE version serial # 6691531 - Has settings from f1.8 to f16 - Looks like it is completely made of Metal rather than Metal/Plastic my rubber ringed AE 28mm f3.5 hexanon is. - I tried the "close focusing" of the lens and it focuses down to 2" away from the front of the lens.

So far, I'm quite impressed with it, now to go out and shoot some photos! I will have some testing photos up with the lens, compairing it with the 28mm f3.5 Hexanon on my site.
