Using bromophen for developing films, does it has the same effect of dektol for film?

I think the Bromophen instructions say something like 1:5 or 1:7 for about 3 to 4 mins. Did it once 1:5 5 mins at 30°C continious agaition to push Forte 400 to 1600-3200. Big grain indeed.
