mudslides

I know that people can be warned ahead of time for dangers such as earthquakes and volcanoes, however, if it is even possible, how far in advance can people be warned of a mudslide?

Like volcanoes and earthquakes there are ways of monitoring mudslides, although it is not 100%.In monitoring mudslides they use some of the same equipment as in other dangers to measure ground movement. They also monitor hydrologic conditions of the hill.Sometimes cracking of the ground can be a warning, but not always.I found my information at this website. CVO Website- ReidandLaHusen19. Check it out. It goes into detail of how they monitor landslides. The site has some great pictures.
