Setting up a new branch

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Friends of the ABC : One Thread

As a former ABC broadcaster and a Professor of Journalism, I am deeply concerned at the most recent attempts to exert political control of broadcast content at the ABC. Does anyone (except Mr Shier) really believe that the commercial media management being hired at massive expense, really have anything to teach the ABC?

It has been explicitly revealed that Mr Shier was a Liberal Party activist who wants to implement his conservative views on media. This might be acceptable if he were hired to manage a small commerical station. It is not appropriate for a national institution like the ABC. It shows the time has come to end political appointments to the board of Australia's most important cultural institution.

I want to establish a new branch of FABC in Central Queensland. How do I go about it?
