Volcano Prediction

If the magma is in the subsurface just proir to erruption, wouldn't is heat up the ground water in the surrounding areas around the volcano? How would this effect people with wells that live near the volcano?

yes, it would heat up the ground water and the ground water would be polluted with harmful gases that are purtuding from magma.

Also there wells will be filled with sulfuric acid. Have you ever seen Dante`s peck. In that movic there water sorce is filled with it. It was probably laying on a gas chamber for the volcano.
