Marvellous day on Staurday for the Falcons as the youth set up seems to be flourishing. Does Rob Andrew fancy the Football job??Also as an aside, I watched the Northampton v Sale match at the weekend. The North East connection was that it was officially a benefit match for Andy Blyth the former Tynedale, Falcons, West Hartlepool, Northampton and Sale centre.
Andy suffered horrific injuries in a rugby game last year and his whole life changed when we became paralysed by one tackle. I played rugby with Andy in my days in the North East and I was delighted to see him walk into my local pub on Friday night. There I was sitting moaning about work and the usual when this guy walks into the pub on his crutches! (Priorities re-engaged!!)
He could teach many people about backbone and spirit!

I know him. He's the biggest tosser you could ever meet. He was a nasty spitefull bully at school. His family have been in Hexham for years. My dad went to school with his dad etc. I wouldn't wish such an injury on anyone though. I'm glad he's making a recovery but I won't say he he's a good bloke. He isn't.

Nick,My memories were similar although I went to a different school. I have to admit the shock to his life seems to have given him new priorities in life.
